In 2Q07, worldwide Wi-Fi revenue increased by 14% year-over-year, up from $911.2 million in 2Q06. Total worldwide Wi-Fi revenue for 1Q07 was slightly over $1.0 billion, a small decrease in revenue from 1Q07. Shipments of 802.11g shipments decreased slightly, whereas multimode shipments increased due to growth of the enterprise market. As expected draft-n shipments continued to increase with quarter-over-quarter growth of 31%.
This report examines the WLAN market for 2Q07. Market shares for enterprise and SOHO/consumer vendors are provided, based on unit shipments and manufacturers' revenue for the quarter. The data is segmented by air standard and equipment form factor.
