We now predict that Movistar Peru (TEF) will serve 57.7% (previously 54.8%) of the total subscribers in Peru in 2010. The market share of Claro Peru will stay at 39% over the next few years. The rest of the subscribers will be served by Nextel. Nextel will continue to receive the highest ARPU in the country. We are forecasting that Nextel’s ARPUs will be at US$ 38.11 in 2010 while Movistar Peru and Claro Peru will only achieve ARPU levels of US$ 11.41 and US$9.90, respectively.
