This IDC study presents the results and analysis of an IDC-exclusive software survey in 2006. In this study, IDC conducted telephone interviews with 989 IT executives across the key countries in the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ region to gain insights into businesses' current application development and deployment software (AD&D) adoption levels. Furthermore, this survey was designed to find out more about the concerns and considerations organizations have when investing in AD&D software.
"Due to the high degree of localization of application software and vendors in key APEJ countries, IDC suggest that vendors will be better positioned surrounded by a strategically built-up partner network that allows the selective support to overcome country-, industry-, and customer-specific concerns and challenges," says Ullrich Loeffler, market analyst, Information Management Solutions, IDC Australia and New Zealand.
