This IDC study presents the latest forecast of the Americas business analytics (BA) software revenue segmented by 17 vertical markets and four company size categories for 2006?2010.

Noel Stevens, senior analyst, IDC Software Vertical Views, states, "The Americas business analytics market was $8.9 billion in 2005 and is forecast to increase to $14.6 billion in 2010, a 10.5% five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR). During the five-year forecast period, IDC projects the three fastest-growing industries to include healthcare, communications and media, and transportation, which are estimated to grow at CAGRs of 14.0%, 13.1%, and 11.6%, respectively."
