This IDC study presents the latest forecast of Americas content access tools (search and retrieval software) revenue segmented by 17 vertical markets and four company size categories for 2006?2010.

Noel Stevens, senior analyst, IDC Software Vertical Views, states, "During the five-year forecast period, IDC projects the fastest growth in American content access tools and application software revenue to come from the healthcare industry and government, which are expected to increase at CAGRs of 27.8% and 21.3%, respectively, over the life of the forecast. In addition, IDC estimates that the government also accounted for the largest share of revenue, with $64.2 million, or 10.3% of 2005 content access tools revenue."
