This IDC study presents the latest forecast of American content management and authoring and publishing software revenue segmented by 18 vertical markets and four company size categories for 2006-2010.

Noel Stevens, senior analyst, IDC Software Vertical Views, states, "During the five-year forecast period, IDC projects the fastest growth in American content management and authoring and publishing software revenue will come from the healthcare industry and government, which are expected to increase spending at CAGRs of 17.7% and 15.0%, respectively, over the life of the forecast. In addition, IDC estimates that the government also accounted for the largest share of revenue in 2005, with $851 million or 10.2% of total content application revenue."
