The key objective of the IT and managed services survey is to understand and provide insight ? from the end-user's perspective ? into the IT and managed services markets in the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ region. The survey targeted respondents who were responsible for or were the most knowledgeable about an organization's use of IT services and IT outsourcing (ITO).
The survey was run in 10 countries that rolled up into the APEJ market view. The specific countries were Australia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, the People's Republic of China (PRC), Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. The data in this presentation was cut to reflect the views of those respondents who have chosen to outsource all or part of their applications in engagements including application management (AM) and hosted AM.
Some of the key questions that are answered in this presentation include:
What delivery mechanisms for outsourcing do you employ?
Which applications are you currently choosing to outsource?
What were the key reasons or motivating factors for engaging an external party in the management of your applications?
If you had previously outsourced your applications and subsequently cancelled the engagement, why?
