This IDC study presents IDC's best estimates and projections for the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) (APEJ) storage and data management services market for 2003?2008. This document is the product of both qualitative and quantitative information that has been collected from a wide variety of primary and secondary sources.
"Although the overall APEJ storage and data management services market is forecast to increase at an average CAGR of 9% from 2003 to 2008, this does not indicate that smaller emerging economies are growing at a slower rate. Instead, they are boosted by the sheer size of emerging economies such as PRC and India," said Timothy Wong, IDC Asia/Pacific IT services analyst. "As the market is still slowly maturing, storage services players have few success stories and are finding it challenging to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack. Customers are demanding increasingly detailed assessments of the benefits of any investment, and this will necessarily require the combination of IT skills and business consulting expertise."
