This IDC study looks at the current state of demand within the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) market for networking and what the opportunities are for vendors.

"Broadband Internet access is and will be the main driver of SMEs' requirement to deploy LAN equipment for better data transfer. In one to two years, stronger interest in added functionalities and applications is observed to be within the realm of accessing the network via intranet and extranet among SMEs in the region," says Huei Mon Lee, research manager, Telecommunications Research, IDC Malaysia.
