This IDC study presents a market analysis and market sizing for the Australian business process outsourcing (BPO) market specifically for the finance and accounting (F&A) domain. The purpose of this study is to identify and quantify the market opportunity for BPO service providers (SPs) and to present recommended strategies for taking advantage of these opportunities. "The F&A processing services segment still dominates the outsourcing space. From a buyer perspective, although an increasing number of slightly more comprehensive deals are being entered into, for many other organisations the situation remains largely exploratory, with companies across a range of industries and company sizes continuing to probe and understand how F&A BPO might be applied to their companies; who the players are, what the value proposition might be, what scope should be outsourced, and so on," says Aprajita Sharma, program manager IT Services/BPO, IDC Australia.
