| n recent years, Intel has aggressively pushed WiMAX and the technology has seen significant development. The freeing up of frequencies will affect the speed at which services expand. Therefore, policies of different governments will be crucial for WiMAX and its development. China, the nation with the largest number of mobile phone subscribers in the world, is promoting the TD-SCDMA standard.
