The Broadband Wireless Network Planning Toolbox provides the tools necessary to engineer and plan a broadband wireless network using technologies such as WiFi or WiMax for data and/or voice communications. The Toolbox was designed by a broadband wireless engineer for engineering and planning, but you don't have to be an engineer to use the Toolbox as it is well documented and extremely user-friendly. It is referred to as a "Toolbox" because it consists of several valuable tools for designing, engineering, planning, and budgeting for a broadband wireless network. Individually, any one of these tools would be very valuable, but used together, the Toolbox provides a complete end-to-end solution for planning a broadband wireless network. Experienced wireless engineers are familiar with some of these tools, such as the FSPL calculator available on many vendor websites. The Coverage Design Analyzers and the Wireless Network System Configuration Tool are custom designed tools that you will not find available elsewhere.

The Toolbox comes with a Users Guide that explains the tools and provides a step-by-step approach to planning broadband wireless networks including:
  1. Site Survey
  2. Traffic Loading
  3. Coverage Design and Analysis
  4. Wireless Network System Configuration
The Toolbox will run on any PC. User support and consultation is available from the developer, Bruce Hall.

Target Users for the Toolbox
  • Anyone tasked with planning and/or engineering a broadband wireless network
  • Companies seeking to save money versus hiring a consultant
  • Consultants that need some handy tools to do their job more easily and efficiently
Why hire an engineer or a consultant to design your broadband wireless network ? They are probably already using our Toolbox and so can you !!
