| Introduction: While traditionally extremely reluctant to yield control, FSIs are increasingly finding themselves in a situation where old paradigms must be left in the past. In the pursuit of operational efficiency, FSIs are coming to the realization that their sourcing strategies will have to be reviewed. In this context the report analyses and quantifies the infrastructure, application and business process outsourcing opportunity in retail banking, insurance and financial markets. Scope: * Primary research: The report relies on 20 interviews with leading outsourcing services vendors and on 170 interviews with FSIs from across Europe * Secondary research: proprietary Datamonitor datasets were used to evaluate FSIs' openness to outsourcing and development and changes in attitudes. Report Highlights: Infrastructure outsourcing spend will continue to grow at significant pace throughout the period as FSIs gain confidence in the outsourcing model for this segment. Increasing maturity of proposition increases interest from the conservative financial services sector. On aggregate the infrastructure outsourcing segment will grow by CAGR 7.5% between 2002 and 2005 creating one of the most significant market opportunities in outsourcing. The whole application outsourcing segment will experience significant growth, but it is particularly off-shore application development and management together with ASP services that will go through most growth. The growth of the segment will be driven primarily by the insurance sector generating a CAGR of 6.3% from 2002 to 2005. Datamonitor segments the Business Process Outsourcing market into three distinct categories: transaction processing, back-office operations and front-office operations. On a top level the segment looks set to develop into the biggest single outsourcing market in financial service in the next few years. Encompassing both traditional IT services as well as financial services processes, BPO will grow by a CAGR of 10.4% from 2002 to 2005. Reasons to Purchase: * Scope the market potential of the individual outsourcing segment to quantify the growth opportunity of your company * Benefit from Datamonitor's rigorous methodology creating certainty of planning and forecasting for your business * Understand the drivers and inhibitors of the financial services sector in terms of individual outsourcing segments to improve FSI targeting * Gain an overview of the financial services outsourcing vendor landscape to maximize the impact of your company's positioning
