This study provides an overview of the current security landscape affecting organizations in Canada, including an analysis of what organizations currently face on a day-to-day basis from a security perspective, where Canadian organizations are doing well and where they tend to fall short in the battle to maintain security.
"Canadian organizations, particularly medium and large-sized ones are doing an adequate job of protecting their head offices from viruses and other forms of attack, but have largely ignored branch offices. In addition, Canadian organizations have not yet come to grips with the variety of legislation that affect compliance and governance, both domestic and foreign." Joe Greene, VP IT Security Research, IDC Canada.
