This IDC study presents a competitive analysis of the 2005 Canadian hosting infrastructure services market. Hosting infrastructure services consist of three segments: Web hosting, storage utility services, and management services. Each segment faces different challenges and opportunities for companies competing for market share.
"We are beginning to see the emergence of distinct submarkets within management services, as vendors continue to strengthen these offerings through acquisitions," says Courtney Harbin, services research associate. "To compete in this market, vendors need to be able to provide tailored options for the various vertical industries as well as both enterprises and SMBs."
