Schneider Electric, a French manufacturer of electric equipment, has chosen Capgemini to outsource its IT operations and implement SAP applications worldwide. Both parties expect to finalize the deal before October 2004. The contract is estimated to be worth more than ?1 billion and will run over a period of 10 years.
