This IDC study analyzes semiconductor consumption in the China market based on semiconductor demand for domestic consumption and provides a forecast for 2008-2012.
"When worldwide electronics manufacturers either source from China or build factories in China, the globalization footprint is there. It's more about the supply chain and infrastructure built in China, although the manufacturing power is mostly owned by foreign interests, and the local OEMs are still vulnerable. Appropriate partnerships and networking will help semiconductor vendors to penetrate the Chinese market," said Patrick Liao, research manager, Asia/Pacific Semiconductors, IDC.
