Driven by increasing spending on leading services like IP VPN and Ethernet, wireline data services spending in the US healthcare sector will grow slightly faster than growth in the overall US market. In-Stat forecasts wireline data services spending of $3.2 billion in 2007 growing to $3.6 billion in 2011, a CAGR of 2% for that period for the healthcare sector. This is compared to a CAGR of 1% for overall US wireline data services spending growth through the same period.
This report forecasts growth of wireline data services in the US healthcare sector through 2011. The forecast is broken down into the four size of business sub-segments that In-Stat covers:
- SOHO: 1- to 4-employee firms
- Small Business: 5- to 99-employee firms
- Mid-Sized Business: 100- to 999-employee firms
- Enterprise: 1,000+-employee firms
Survey data that shows healthcare sector migration plans to IP VPNs from Layer 1 (i.e., Leased Line) and/or Layer 2 (i.e., Frame Relay, ATM) wireline data services is also included.
