The ICT industry has energized the economic development of Southern India and local people's average incomes. Many foreign and Indian companies have been drawn to the industrial parks built in the so-called "Golden Triangle" made up of Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The buying power of people employed at these parks and the park tenants has made Southern India a key regional market in India.
