This presentation provides details on the results of the WAN Manager Survey regarding VoIP-related results. The purpose of this study was to determine trends among European companies' current and planned use of voice services. Issues covered include voice/data convergence, hosted and managed services, and type of (IP) PBX used.
This is an annual survey of 660 medium and large European companies, defined as those with more than 50 employees worldwide. The countries in Europe covered by the survey are Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.K. The survey focused on five industry sectors: finance, manufacturing, retail/wholesale, travel, and the public sector. The public sector included government and education bodies. Interviews were carried out via telephone from the U.K. in the preferred language of the interviewees. The interviews took place during July and August of 2006.
