Active fire protection includes fire detection and alarm systems, portable extinguishers, fixed extinguishing systems, fire hoses and some small product subsectors, such as fire blankets. The design, installation and maintenance of systems account for a substantial part of the market for detection and alarm systems and fixed fire extinguishing systems.
