This IDC study looks at the emergence of the managed services market and addresses how key managed services suppliers ? telecommunications SPs, information technology SPs, and network equipment providers ? are rushing to satisfy the demands of enterprises. Now that a clearer monetary value is attached to utilizing expertise and consulting for information and communication technology (ICT) management services, managed services suppliers are leveraging their own strengths and calling upon those of fellow SP partners to address the needs of modern-day enterprises.

"The intersecting nature of managed services requires SPs to actively seek partnerships as the complexity of managing enterprise IT and communication systems grows. Progressing simultaneously with ICT advancements, the managed services market will continue growing and will account for a greater proportion of overall enterprise ICT spending in the near future," notes Mark Seah, associate analyst, Telecommunications, IDC Malaysia.
