This IDC study discusses the competitive landscape within the human resources (HR) business process outsourcing (BPO) marketplace in Australia and presents a potential leadership grid for the various players. This study focuses on the different categories of players that have made a foray into this space to determine how well aligned their strategies are with the market opportunity.
"The HR vendor landscape has shifted over the last 12?24 months, as players from diverse domains enter into this competitive landscape to take advantage of the emerging opportunities. Organisations in Australia have been using external service providers (SPs) now for some time for some core human resources information system (HRIS) processes such as payroll, benefits, and HR record keeping. Within many of the new contracts, organisations are looking at other transformational areas like workforce optimisation apart from core HR," says Aprajita Sharma, research manager, Outsourcing and BPO, IDC Australia.
