| ISS of Denmark is one of the largest facilities services providers in the world. The company’s portfolio of services includes cleaning services, office support, catering, property services, Integrated Facilities Services (IFS) and security services, the most recent addition. In FY06, ISS recorded revenues of US$9.4 billion. Present in 47 countries, and with over 300 subsidiaries and affiliates, ISS has been aggressively pursuing an inorganic growth strategy over the last five years. It has made more than 100 acquisitions, mostly of small-sized local players offering single as well as integrated offerings. However, rapid inorganic growth has meant the company is faced with the challenge of integrating the various businesses it has acquired and reining-in operational costs.
