Installation cable is the largest segment of insulated wire and cable, and is defined as building, OEM, and other electrical conductors for a voltage between 80 volts and 1000 volts, along with ignition wiring sets. Installation cable accounts for around 48% of the world market for insulated wire and cable. The market is growing at an average of around 2% a year, and is forecast to expand from US$47 billion in 1999 to US$53 billion in 2006. The Asian market share is 31%.
