"Although the Japan document solution market will maintain stable demand thanks to the growing needs among users to improve the efficiency of document-related work and to fulfill compliance requirements, the hardcopy peripherals (HCP) hardware and expendable/maintenance markets will suffer major decline, and vendors thus need to expand their service menus," analyzes Shoji Tobisawa, group manager, hardcopy peripherals and digital imaging, IDC Japan.
