This IDC Study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J8390102) analyzes the solutions market in Japan between January and June 2007 for CRM (customer relationship management), ERM (enterprise resource management), and SCM (supply chain management), and provides market forecast for the 2008-2012 period.
"The market of CRM, ERP, and SCM solution constructions for large corporations with SOA-platform-based main business system is getting more popular, and solutions for medium-sized companies are also expanding. As software delivery model, SaaS (Software as a Service) is gaining more attention, which signals a start in changes of structure in IT solution business. In such situation, solution providers should form an alliance with their peers to strengthen their position, and even go into co-marketing for maximum effect, and more importantly, to build long-term relationship with clients," observes Tomoko Akagi, manager, Software, IDC Japan.
