This IDC Flash discusses Juniper Networks' announcement of a midrange multiservice edge (MSE) router called the M120. A new addition to Juniper's M-series line of routers, the M120 adds several key new features and is a router capable of 10Gbps uplinks, just like the M320, only in a smaller form factor. The M120 occupies only one-quarter of a 7ft telco rack. The M120 is also an architectural change for Juniper as it has decoupled the forwarding processes from the system I/O modules for higher reliability and performance.
