This IDC study is part of IDC Asia/Pacific's exclusive research on major software channel partners operating in Asia/Pacific. Through exclusive interviews and existing information base, we covered the following areas: brief company overview, product and service offerings, focus areas and strategies, revenue performance, customers and partnering highlights, and strengths and challenges in the marketplace.
"KAZ has successfully positioned itself as a key supplier of midrange IT services in the Australia market as evidenced by Telstra's announcement in April 2004 to acquire the company. KAZ has been acknowledged for its flexibility and strong customer relationships, which will position it well for the 'selective' outsourcing approach," says Phillip Allen, senior analyst, Services, IDC Australia. "As an alternative to the 'all or nothing' IT arrangements, which typified early outsourcing activity in the marketplace, KAZ offers a layered outsourcing model which allows businesses to outsource IT services selectively and progressively. However, the new relationship with Telstra could impact KAZ's market positioning, which in turn might limit growth opportunities in the midterm," he adds.
