Mobile IT applications for use on cell phones are increasingly including a component that allows the identification of location. Location is being used as a management tool in the transportation/dispatch market vertical and in new workforce management applications. However, until wireless carriers begin actively marketing location-enabled mobile IT applications, the market will lag. In-Stat does not expect significant growth for cell phone-based location-enabled applications for the enterprise until 2007.
