Performance apparel markets: product developments and innovations, 1st quarter 2008

Italy-based Klopman International has launched a fabric, branded Crossfire, which combines permanent inherent flame resistance with antistatic properties and protection from liquid chemical splash.
Crossfire has a weight of 245 g/m 2 and is designed to provide protection for workers in a wide range of applications, including the petrochemical industries and utilities. The fabric comprises 99% Kermel flame resistant fibre and 1% antistatic fibre, and is treated with Klopman’s Hydrofoil liquid chemical splash
resistant finish. This finish protects the fabric from being damaged by most chemical agents and also helps to reduce soiling.
