The YarnsandFibers Business Confidence Survey assesses the aspirations of Indian textile businessmen on a quarterly basis. The survey also assesses the current performance status of the textile companies. Three basic indices emerge from this survey: the YnFx Business Confidence Index, the YnFx Current Business Status Index and the YnFx Textile Business Margin Expectation Index. While the first and last index measures the future expectations, the current status index is the measure of current performance for the quarter vis-à-vis the previous quarter. This survey also brings to fore major economic constraints faced by textile industry in India; like demand, labour, power, finance and infrastructure.

The YnFx Textile Business Confidence Index has become a barometer of the textile industry. It is the only kind of index in India which provides quick assessment of the performance of Indian textile companies and also the prospect in immediate future.
