This IDC study includes the latest research on international IP transit services and trends in four countries of Southeastern Europe - Albania, Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), and Romania. The international IP transit market is segmented according to traffic, purchased capacity, and spending. This study addresses the following questions:
What factors are driving and inhibiting growth in the region's international IP transit services market? What are the current and projected levels of capacity, traffic, and spending on international IP transit? How are tariff levels affecting uptake of international IP transit and spending levels? Who are the key providers of international IP transit in the region?
"Although tariffs are coming down steadily in the Southeastern Europe international IP transit market, prices are still high relative to Western Europe. Tariffs will have to come down significantly for international IP transit services to become accessible to local service providers." - Joshua Budd, Program Manager, IDC CEMA
