| At Interop Spring 2006, business WLAN vendors showcased their various solutions, with a focus on manageability and customer value. Enterprise WLAN infrastructure vendors showcased their increased support for applications such as voice and location tracking. DiVitas was in the spotlight with its solution-enabling businesses to provide for seamless Wi-Fi-to-cellular handoffs. Business WLAN vendors are increasingly embracing the Centralized architecture, moving away from fat APs as deployments get larger and more complex. NextHop demonstrated its unified wired/wireless switching software behind closed doors, with D-Link consequently unveiling the first unified wired/wireless switch, based on NextHop's technology. Combination 3G/Wi-Fi gateway routers are showing up from more vendors, providing for easy broadband connectivity for mobile workgroups.
