This IDC Presentation (which is part of a February 2006 client presentation) analyzes the U.S. sub-$1,000 hardcopy peripherals market for 2002-2005 in terms of technology (laser versus inkjet) and product types (printers and MFPs) for a range of price bands. According to Angle Boyd, group VP, Imaging/Output and SMB markets, "Laser growth accelerated while inkjet growth fluctuated and is roughly flat, and the $200+ inkjet decline was substantial, with these users migrating not just to sub-$200 inkjets but to laser."
