Demand for cable telephony services remains strong in 2008. Cable TV operators, especially those located in North America and Europe, are continuing to invest in telephony services in order to offer a true "triple play" service bundle.
This report covers the market for global cable telephony services. It discusses the business case for cable telephony services, looks at the availability of the service, and examines specific network architectures. In addition, the report updates leading cable TV operator telephony strategies and presents the results of a US cable telephony subscriber consumer survey conducted in February 2008.
The report provides forecasts for worldwide cable telephony subscribers, VoIP cable telephony subscribers, and installed cable telephony lines through the year 2012. It also forecasts cable telephony service revenues and “Voice-over-Broadband” cable telephony subscribers over the next five years.
