| The Italian market has definitely made much progress since the early years of liberalisation, when the Italian incumbent Telecom Italia was dominating the market without any serious contender. Since the liberalisation started, Telecom Italia itself claims that prices for voice services have decreased over 30% and that the Italian authority AGCom has become much more effective in controlling the market.
