Report on Tunable Lasers

| The tunable lasers market is still only in its infancy. Tunable laser companies are still only shipping sampling quntities. Because of the present state of the telecommunications market, system suppliers are not receiving large orders for their equipment. Recovery is expected to be in late 2002 or early 2003. It is expected that once the market starets to grow again, tunable lasrers will be one of the fastest growing componenets sectors. While the market may grow on average 10-20% per year, tunable lasers could see growth rates in exess of 50%.
