This IDC study explores current and potential UC opportunities in different industry verticals in Australia, India, Korea, Malaysia, China, and Taiwan. The study provides IDC's insights into the macrolevel dynamics, assessment of current applications adoption in that vertical, and examples of some early adopting enterprises, as well as future opportunities. IDC believes that while UC is largely a horizontal solution and rides the generic demand for employee collaboration across an organization, it sees faster adoption in some industry verticals. This study attempts to unearth these pockets of opportunities in different countries.
