"Clients are increasingly demanding high-value project work to be combined in AM contracts: especially legacy modernization, SOA, and rationalization. In addition, we see an increase in deals combining infrastructure services with application services, transformational outsourcing, or even BPO," said Jennifer Thomson, research manager, European Software and Services. "Demand for such deals will help to combat price pressure in the short term, but vendors will be challenged to prove value and ROI. As AM services are increasingly bundled up front in new 'transformational' deals, vendors must offer a portfolio of professional services to enable transformation and meet the needs of more consultative-led engagements."
