This IDC study assesses developments in the wireless 3G mobile PC data card combo market for Western Europe and shows a forecast in units by technology, country, and installed base.

According to Alejandra van de Roer, senior research analyst with IDC's European Telecommunications and Networking service, "Although still in the early phase of development, adoption of 3G services including mobile PC card and embedded laptop with 3G services are expected to pick up significantly as prices come down and as more Western European operators include it in their selling portfolio."
