This IDC study examines the Western European router market in the first half of 2004 and compares and analyzes the major segments and broad trends within that marketplace to the second half of 2003. Included in the review are figures for Western European market size and market shares of the router vendors that participate in this marketplace.

"The EMEA router market is becoming increasingly competitive, with an increasing number of new vendors entering the market, and this has a negative impact on price development in the router market," said Peter Hulleman, senior research analyst with IDC's European Telecommunications and Networking group.
