This IDC study presents an analysis of the server market in Western Europe in 2007, as well as forecast assumptions spanning from 2008 to 2012. "Dense computing, new form factors, and the trend to virtualize the increasingly x86-based infrastructure will be the main drivers behind server growth," said Beatriz Valle, IDC research analyst, European Systems and Infrastructure Solutions. "Vendors should focus on midsize enterprises, which is where the money is, and create the right infrastructure solutions for this segment."
