This IDC study provides 2004 market shares for the Western European storage software market by vendor and Western European country.

"The Western European storage software market saw healthy growth of 13.7% in 2004," said Carla Arend, senior research analyst, European storage software. "Market growth has been driven by the need of Western European organizations to consolidate their storage infrastructures and increase their efficiency through improved storage management. Additionally, the protection and recovery of data and the preparation for compliance requirements have fuelled Western European storage software spending."
