"The worldwide hosted application management (formerly known as ASP) services market is experiencing strong growth, as customers rediscover an almost forgotten delivery model. Hosted AM services have a unique value proposition that allows customers to gain many of the benefits of on demand without sacrificing the functionality and integration capabilities of their existing investments in enterprise applications. With large service providers investing in this area, we expect it to grow strongly over the next several years," said Barry Rubenstein, program manager for Application Outsourcing and Offshore Services at IDC.
