This IDC study provides the worldwide forecast for the identity and access management (IAM) market by license and maintenance revenue, exclusive of services. Revenue includes all IAM submarkets - user provisioning, legacy authentication, advanced authentication, personal portable security devices (PPSDs), Web single sign-on (WSSO), enterprise single sign-on (ESSO), federated single sign-on (FSSO), and software licensing authentication tokens (SLATs).

"The demands of compliance regulations, combined with growing incidences of ID theft and the need to manage complex enterprise identity environments, will drive growth in this market throughout the forecast period," said Sally Hudson, research director for IDC's Identity and Access Management products.
