"With the recession, managing a tightening IT budget has replaced shortage of skilled labourers as the reason for outsourcing. Demand for outsourcing remains high nonetheless. However, service providers (SP) are expected to help customers ride through the storm, either via technology or better service on the customers' business needs," says Adam Lee, associate analyst, Software and Services, IDC Australia and New Zealand.
