Table of Contents
Ovum independently assessed and analyzed broadband deployments and service drivers with specific focus on FTTH/FTTB (as defined by the three FTTH councils) activity in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. - We examined the prospects for FTTP around subscriber growth in the region (focusing on the countries identified above), FTTP deployment activities and deployment variations, regulatory issues impacting FTTP (and broadband growth in general), and service drivers that might necessitate the need for FTTP over other forms of broadband access like DSL, cable modem, or wireless.
