Deloitte Consulting Asia/Pacific ProfileProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: September 2004 Product Code: R104-17066 Description
This IDC study updates the current situation of Deloitte Consulting in Asia/Pacific. The news of Deloitte's cancelled spin-off initially caused confusion in the market, as corporations wished to minimize the perceived conflict of interest by using separate firms for audit and consulting services. However, the impact in Asia/Pacific is less pronounced and the new structure is ready to take off to capture solution integration and consulting opportunity in the region. IDC fully expects that Deloitte will emphasize on building a base of non-attest clients, with a focus on preferred partnerships by leveraging the power of the total firm. "The degree to which Deloitte can be successful going forward will largely depend on its ability to integrate multiple services together in order to enhance value to the client. At the same time, the firm should be increasingly selective by choosing where to compete and on what terms," said Kit Yau, senior research manager, Solution Integration Services Research, IDC Asia/Pacific.
