European WAN Manager Survey, 2005

Product Type: Market Research Report
Published by: IDC
Published: November 2005
Product Code: R104-24999
Description

IDC's annual European WAN Manager survey provides a valuable measure of companies' changing use of communications technology and services. This latest survey for 2005 shows how rapidly technologies that emerged only relatively recently have taken the lead in their respective areas, notably IP VPNs and DSL. It also shows how quickly VoIP and convergence are growing. "Migration from legacy networks to IP services is still taking place at a rapid rate," said James Eibisch, research director, European Business Network Services. "And after many years of waiting we are now seeing a real shift to voice over IP and voice/data convergence."
